Catch up

I've finally found some time to sit down and make a post for the blog this morning. David is currently in England for his his brother's wedding. He left on Wednesday morning and will be back Sunday evening. It was going to be an interesting trip since his brother, Rob, had been in a Vespa accident June 23rd, two weeks prior to the wedding. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday, July 4th and they got married July 6th. (YEAH!) I can't wait for David to be back. I've realized that I do not like being all by myself in a house in California. and get this! this morning on the answering machine was left the following message: This is a message from the Atherton Police Department. Yesterday July 6th a gardener spotted a mountain lion on "__" road. Please be cautious and aware as you exercise outside and especially keep track of small children..." (keep in mind that Atherton is less than 5 square miles)Yikes! that gave me a small heart attack this morning. but i'm okay now.
So this past month has been really fun! David and I went to the beach. There was no sun and it was cold so I refused to enter the water. but David threw around the skim board for nearly an hour while I lay on the beach under a blanket. After walking up and down the beach and visiting the boarkwalk we tried going to the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz but the line was over 2 hours long. So we'll attempt that some other time.
I attended the Gwen Stefani concert with some friends. It was a blast! In the picture above is Becky, Nidhi and myself. I have not been to that many concerts and I'm 23! But I could not believe how many kids (like 6-11) there were. And there were some groups of 11 year old girls by themselves!!I just couldn't believe that parents would bring their kids to an event with copious amounts of alcohol/weed/smoking!

And last weekend we attended LDS night at the SF Giants game. We went with a friend of David's who just graduated from BYU-Idaho. We rode the train(my fave!) in to the game. Our seats were on the third level just three rows from the very back of the stadium, but we had a gorgeous view of the bay and we even spotted the Oakland temple from our seats! David and I shared some delicious Garlic fries. The Giants ended up winning the game and I'm thinking I'd like to go to another game before the season ends.
And lastly, I'm so happy I get to come home this Friday! Wa-Hoo! I'll be coming home for Kari & Zachary's wedding. I've heard that many of the cousins are going to be in town! And that makes me pretty excited too.
See you all in Washington!

That's such a cool picture of the baseball park! We had those garlic fries at a Mariner's game we went to last summer, and they were soooo good. If you don't mind garlic breath, that is. See you this weekend!

Sounds like you guys have been fun and busy! Baseball games are fun, not necessarily for the game itself, but for everything else...like the food and the views. See you soon!

Oooh, mountain lions, yikes! I'm interested in the Mystery Spot. It sounds like a place I'd really like to visit, and a place that Jeff would just laugh at me for because I want to visit it. I'm going to be in WA the week of the wedding...yahoo! See you there!
